Are those tubs halved casks or the oak booze barrels from winery' s or distillery' s?

How might they have been reinforced underneath for I assume it must have been necessary? Do you have any photos where they are on their sides and showing their underside? Did you ever work with wooden tubs?
And please, more IDs on the pictures! At least the show, if not obvious, or act!
As always, thanks for another wonderful group of photos! I've enjoyed the recent themes you've come up with.

All we had was one light piece of angle iron underneath.
Tried to keep them as light as possible but of course aluminum tubs changed everything.
