From John Herriott #1



Just returned from from the gathering at Beef Bradys, during which time Johnny mentioned that he and Mary Ruth had recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.
I remember it well, late in 1954 Fred Logan and I left Hugo with six elephants to join King Bros. Circus and arrived the day after John and Burt Pettus had taken the shows elephants away  to play the Texas Shrine dates.
At that point I had never met John but as the show neared Ft. Worth he showed up on the lot and whisked away this beautiful young cowgirl.
The rest is History.

For the record. We were married on Thanksgiving day in the center ring during intermission of the Moslah Shrine Circus in the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Ft. Worth Texas.
We have played numerous times obver the years plus daughters, son;in;laws, etc. Laura was just there this year5 with Tarzan Zerbini producer.johnny

Absolutely Love pics John and Mary Ruth...have been doing some research so saw some of your daughters and a granddaughter..just connecting the dots according to info from mom and granpa Orman and Emma.
