Had the distinct pleasure of speaking with him and several of his kids over the years, quite an amazing, and gracious, family. The last time I saw Dave he was doing the Salaam Shrine/ Hanneford date in Morristown, NJ afew years back. It was quite amazing, low ceiling , short arena , lots of aerial rigging, but Dave, of course, went through it all like clockwork every time. Attached is a cropped and poorly scanned pic I took of Dave a number of years ago on a Bentley date in Hackensack, NJ. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving...........we're certainly thankful for all the wonderful Showfolks we've seen and met over the years. Paul PS I guess it's too early (?) for someone to have commented on what a "high caliber" family the Smiths are.
