Sells Floto-Buffalo Bill 1914-15 #6

The Floto Show enjoyed the publicity of several elephant calves born during this period but this isn't one of them. My dad wrote on the back, "Baby zebu and baby elephant in 1914, probably "Alberta".

I don't recall ever hearing an elephant named "Alberta" and I consider it a rather nice name for a show business gal.

I can hear, "BERTA MOVE UP" resonating down the drafy corridors in the underbellies of the Great American Arenas.

Speaking of underbellies, I hear that a certain Ice Show is being mounted for several cities, unfortunately it'll be more than the Ice Ka-boom that will be mounted.

Very true, an elephant's name is used so often, the fewer syllables the better.
I'm surprised the names for the Cassely elephants are so similar.

Note the wide-banded striped sidewall, a digression on a posting of a week ago!
