mornin' Buckles. I've seen many photos of this man, Could you tell me who he was and what he did on the show? Was he a Damoo counterpart? Just curious... Lee Stevens

I do hope the baby gained weight. Looks like he just got off the boat.

Yes, Baby Butch just got off the boat. One of the dates I have is Jan. 1948. Three foot and weighed less 250..And was shipped to Dailey Bros. Quarters in Gonzales, TX. I believe Louis Reed, brokered the elephants that were shipped in for Ben Davenport....Baby Butch received tons of P.R. during the 1948 Dailey Bros. Season....If my memory serves me right, I caught the Dailey railroad show in Chillicothe, OH that year. I can still remember the numerous pitches. The train parked on the City Park lot in chillicothe. What a great idea Ben Davenport had posing Singh with Baby Butch. Who could better answer Lee's questions but Norma Davenport Cristiani..Ernie Burch was always going to write a book about the Dailey Show...What a shame he didn't..Some of the stories he would tell...But, maybe Norma will answer Lee's questions.
